  1. Hi Mirian Jugheli,

My name is David Black and I work at the World Policy Journal. Our current Summer Issue has an article on the Russia-Georgia conflict’s impact on Abkhazia and the area’s background and demography. Due to the nature of your blog, we thought you might be interested in it and in the journal.

If you have any questions, comments, or ideas, do not hesitate to contact me or our Managing Editor Ryan Bradley, whom I can put you in touch with.

  2. Hi Mirian,

I travel to Georgia for work and find the country’s politics and really enjoy spending time in Tbilisi – it’s beautiful, intriguing and friendly (not least because of the wine!). I’m planning to go on a longer private travel there soon to explore the country outside of the capital

I found your blog looking for statistics on tourism in Georgia – thanks for posting the recent research, really useful.

I’m following you on twitter (Lalunya), and saw that you sometimes also mention nice pubs, music events etc. in Tbilisi. It would be great to know mroe about these for my next trip – hotels are nice, but it would be even nicer to explore the night life a little.

Again, many thanks for this really interesting blog. I’ll be back.

  3. Can someone please tell me what ethnicity people from Georgia are considered? Caucasian, Asian, or something else?

  4. Hi Mirian,

I find your blog very interesting and want to say thank you for the fantastic job documenting soviet mosaics, I’ve visited Georgia on several occasions and I’ve noticed some of them, unfortunately they seem to be dismissed by mostly everyone but many are real pieces of art, I hope you can continue capturing them.

    Keep up the good work.

    George

    1. Hi Georgia, thanks for stopping by. These mosaics are indeed great pieces of Soviet art. It’s a pity that at least two of them have been destroyed after I started documenting. Third series of mosaics will be coming to my blog soon.

      Thanks!
